Since a moment of the division arising its employees, alongside with using and developing radiophysical methods in medicine, solved and are solving different physical and technical problems, by itself or in collaboration with colleagues from other IAP subdivisions. The most important work performed here is solving of problems of diagnostics and vibroacoustical designing: for the equipment of electronic component production (V.A.Antonets, O.N.Taratenkova), for planes (V.V.Kazakov, N.M.Anishkina), for the overwater and underwater ships and for their elements (for instance, power shafts), for the heat-insulating covering of the space shuttle "Buran" (V.A.Antonets), as well as studies of rheological and nonlinear properties of glue-polymers for the optical constructions, of anomalously nonlinear copper rods, of grainy and of hole-containing media (L.A.Rozenbljum, E.M.Timanin), of the solutions of surface-active materials (V.A.Antonets, V.V.Kazakov, A.F.Ivanov) and other. At present the development of methods of nonlinear vibroacoustical diagnostics of cracklike defects in rods and plates (V.V.Kazakov) is led, as well as the development of tools to measure and to manage parameters of chemical reactions (A.D.Mansfeld, A.M.Reyman) and the use of analysis methods of dynamics of active systems for the technical diagnostics (technical vision, artificial sensor channels, man-machine interfaces) and for biotechnology (V.G.Yakhno, V.A.Antonets).
